ADVANCED Florida
Accessibility Code (Application and Administration) ADVANCED FLORIDA CORE COURSE 487.0 2 HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE HOURS |
| LEARNING OBJECTIVES: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations were amended on September 15, 2010. The U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) adopted the 2004 Access Board Guidelines as Standards for Accessible Design (Design Standards) and amended its regulations accordingly. The State of Florida updated its accessibility code in 2011 to provide more consistency with the updated ADA Design Standards. This seminar looks at the provisions of the 2012 Florida Accessibility Code for Building Construction (FACBC) related to application and administration of the code, as well as, at how the FACBC relates to the 2010 ADA Design Standards in these areas. This seminar is designed to be compatible with seminar 12F116 – 2012 Florida Accessibility Code (Technical Provisions). The core document for seminar 12F112 will be the 2012 Florida Accessibility Code for Building Construction. | |
